| The historical reenactment is an activity in which participants recreate some aspects of an event or historical period. It can be a very narrowly defined, such as war or other event, or a more comprehensive coverage. Activities related to the "recreation" are not new. The Tournaments in average age subjects were Romans or older (while the Romans themselves staged recreations of famous naval battles (Tamaqua) and land within their Coliseums as a form of public spectacle), and Victorian recreated medieval objects such as tapestries. However, historical reenactments in pursuit of practical historical interest beyond merely reinvent history as an entertainment to suit convenience. |
