  Rajasthan, the largest state in India in terms of size, before independence, was known as Rajputana or the home of Rajputs - a martial community, which is characterized in this area for centuries, History of Rajasthan excluded from the prehistoric times. With the introduction of provincial autonomy in British India in1935, agitation for civil liberties and political rights was stronger in Rajasthan. The process of uniting the scattered states began from 1948 to 1956, when the countries UmwG announced. First Matsya Union (was 1948), consisting of one part of the states. Slowly and gradually, other states with this Union together. By 1949, major states like Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jaislmer joined this union, which the United States of Great Rajasthan. Finally, in 1958, the present state of Rajasthan officially launched, with state Ajmer, Abu Road Taluka and Sunel Tappa candidate it.the entire western flank of the state borders with Pakistan, while Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Rajasthan in the north, northeast, southeast and Gujarat in the south-west bound.
